Pictured above are the four main “characters,” if you will, of this Web site. First of course me, then my two furry housemates Trish (the calico) and Penny (the tabby), finally Brian, my boyfriend of six years with whom I share a modestly-sized home in the area of Memphis known, creatively, as East Memphis. I’ve lived in Memphis (and its surrounding suburbs) for about 20 years now, but I’m originally from New Orleans. I visit the city whenever I can conjure a reason.
I am a 27-year-old publication designer at a smallish newspaper. I started blogging in college as an outlet for my love of creative writing. My assignments in journalism school at the University of Memphis left no room for embellishment, and I like to tell stories. This is where you’ll find my observations on life in Memphis, as well as my thoughts on culture, politics, news, social media, basketball… So don’t expect a “theme” per se. Just think of this as my little podium. Hopefully I can still entertain you.
I also curate a blog called Lunchbrag, a collection of cellphone pics of awesome lunches. Click at your own risk: it will make you hungry. I have another Tumblr where I dump pictures and thoughts not long enough to merit a blog post, and I’m pretty active on Twitter. If you’re interested, that is.

WOW!
You seem pretty cool. Dreamhost and Mac user here myself. Keep in touch. I love making new “geek” friends.

I am sure gonna be tracking this page. keep writing… really like whatever’s in my head about you .
Hey Jen,
Nice site. Your taste in music is what brought me to your website. I came across your name at some topic over at 9rules, checked your info, found your site, read a blurb about Digitalism and thought I’d say hi and thanks for getting me into Digitalism, those dudes rock.
Thanks for not sharing all those good stories about the rock concerts you attended.
I like this blog.
So I love reading your blog……..It makes me miss Memphis like I miss getting kicked in the balls and the only reason you like bartending is cause you gte to drink for free. They are the only family we have.
