iPhoto: not so good with names. Or faces.

I recently upgraded to iPhoto ’11, mostly so I could access my iCloud Photo Stream from my MacBook.
I decided to check out the Facial Recognition feature, which is supposed to “automatically detect and even recognize faces in your photos.”
iPhoto told me I had more than 4,000 unnamed faces in my library. Bet y’all didn’t know I was so popular.
Actually, I’ve just taken a lot of pictures at concerts and basketball games. And iPhoto is trying to make me identify every single person.
I think it’s pretty obvious that neither of these men is the subject of the photo in question. They just happened to be at a Grizzlies game. I started identifying what players I could, but I don’t think iPhoto is really picking up on it.
Case in point:
Some of the “faces” aren’t faces at all.
Some aren’t even living things. Like in the photo on the right.
I could have labeled that “booze” but figured the next photo to come up would say “Is this booze?”
Maybe my photos are to blame, but this feature is totally useless to me. Anyone out there having better luck with the face recognition?
