Good things about being unemployed
By Jen | December 7, 2011
- I can finally finish Twin Peaks
- No longer restricted to 6 a.m. or 7 p.m. aerobics classes
- Home cooked meals (by me)
- More time to monitor Trish and keep her from peeing on our things
- Haven’t had a true “Christmas break” since high school
- Watching Ellen in pajamas, if I want to
- Starting an unemployment blog (more on that later) and maybe finally monetizing Lunchbrag?
- Lower dry cleaning bills
- Making and answering personal phone calls at will during the day
- Getting the mail as soon as it arrives
- What started yesterday as sniffles has turned into a full-blown cold. When I wake up in the morning I won’t have to debate taking a sick day.
- Watching the Dan Patrick Show — in HD — instead of listening to part of it on AM radio.

Sorry, dude. My [old] place is cleaning house, too. I had to call 2 friends to tell them their jobs are on Craigslist. One of them has been there for 12 years; the other is a single mom with 2 kids. It’s shitty how people can be so soulless.

That sounds exactly like me. And I have more time to study and read!
